A Team Perspective
Jubilee on Tribal Land
Much of the land our lines cross carries meaning that predates any transmission project — historic and cultural sites, traditional gathering areas, and places significant to people who have stewarded that land for generations.
Our approach starts with listening before routing decisions are locked in, doing cultural-resource work in partnership with tribal nations, and staying genuinely willing to adjust a route when something worth protecting is identified.
Trust here is earned through action, not through a brochure — measured by the relationships that are still standing years after a project is built.
Principles of Engagement
Government-to-Government Engagement
We engage directly with tribal governments and leadership from the earliest stages of a project, respecting tribal sovereignty and established consultation protocols
Cultural and Historic Preservation
We do cultural-resource work in partnership with tribal nations to identify and protect sacred sites, traditional gathering areas, and places of historic significance — and we stay willing to adjust a route when something worth protecting is identified
Shared Value
We look for ways each project can strengthen the communities that carry its impacts — from workforce training to community benefit funds — with priorities shaped through direct conversation, not assumption
Long-Term Relationship
A dedicated Jubilee representative stays engaged throughout the life of the project, because the people who make our commitments are the same people expected to be in the room years later when those commitments come due
